Images are used frequently in telepathy tests because they are easy to visualize and transmit. The Depiction card shows twenty-four, easy to recognize and easy to visualize items. A participant mentally selects one.

The performer explains that by forming a simple mental image, and visualizing it in a particular way, the likelihood of a successful test is increased.

After the participant is guided through a brief visualization process, the performer is able to name the exact item the participant selected.
